  • With storage tank water heaters there are two types.

    • Gas storage tank - uses natural gas or propane; regulated under CA energy efficiency standards

    • Electric storage tank - uses electricity to heat water; generally less efficient than gas models.

We offer 30-100 gallon water heaters, inquire today!

  • We offer two types of tankless water heaters.

Gas - heats water only when needed, reducing standby energy loss.

Electric - More compact but requires a higher electrical capacity.

  • With a hybrid water heaters, it uses electricity to transfer heat from the air into the water, making it highly energy-efficient.

Often eligible for rebates and incentives for tax purposes.

  • Uses solar panels to heat water, often with a back up gas or electric system.

Supported by California rebates and incentives like the SGIP Program.

  • A type of high-efficiency gas water heater that as water is heated, the burner creates hot exhaust gas. Condensing tankless water heaters use the heat from exhaust gas to preheat cold water. As it cools, the exhaust gas condenses and turns into water vapor which eventually flow out to the drain.

  • When installing a water heater, an expansion tank is suggested always and it can prevent pressure buildup in a water heater by absorbing the extra volume of heated water.

Possible signs you might need an expansion tank:

    • Frequent banging noises in pipes when turning hot water on

    • Sudden changes in water pressure

    • Leaking faucets

    • High water pressure

How it works - the expansion tank is attached to the cold water supply line near the top of the water heater as you see in the picture above. When water heats up and expands, it enters the expansion tank, compressing the air inside. Then the pressurized air is pushed out through a valve at the top of the tank. When hot water is used, the water inside the expansion tank is pushed back in the main water supply.

In California, it is mandated by code when having installed your new water heater especially if your home has a pressure regulator or back flow preventer to have one installed.

  • A hot water recirculating pump is a device that is installed on your water heater to ensure that hot water is quickly available to the faucets and showerheads. Beneficial to a homeowner with several bathrooms and other appliances that use water that are at longer distance.
